If you have spent any time at all in the presence of human beings, you have likely noticed that although we all possess unique personalities, we also tend to be “set in our ways” when it comes to specific aspects of our behavior. For instance, some of us tend to be very spontaneous, while others prefer to "think things through" before taking any form of action. There are individuals who are very lively or talkative, while others tend to be much more laid-back or deliberate. Some people are very focused or detail-oriented, while others are a lot more carefree and would prefer not to get wrapped up in the details.
In fact, although all of us possess the ability step outside of our established or “natural ways of being” on occasion, we tend to exhibit very predictable patterns of behavior with regard to specific aspects of our personalities. By becoming aware of these behavioral tendencies, one is able to exercise more autonomy over these behaviors, thereby enabling one to act with afore-thought (with intention), rather than in a purely reactionary manner.
In support of providing insight into these behavioral tendencies, a variety of instruments exist, which have been created for the purpose of measuring specific aspects of the human personality; the most popular of these instruments being the “Myers-Briggs” and the “DISC” assessments (which are available for purchase from a wide variety of sources on the internet). Having become proficient with many of these instruments (and after having spent over a quarter of a century coaching more than 1000 clients one-on-one) – I was able to create and introduce a fairly simple, yet very effective instru-ment of my own (which I dubbed the AFFED-CHASER), which I have made available at a very reason-able cost since 2006. However, I am now offering both the AFFED-CHASER Self-Assessment and the associated Behavioral Analysis Report to subscribers on my website for FREE!
Description: the AFFED Self-Assessment (MS Excel format) consists of two sets of "multiple choice" questions (32 total), which is programmed to provide a numerical indiction for 11 distinct personality aspects (as derived from a a mathematical calculation of the responses). Designed to be employed in conjunction with the Assessment, the 'Behavioral Analysis Report' (a comprehensive, 11-page summary) provides a detailed explanation of the respondent’s “Inclination” and “Motivational” indicators; hence, greater insight into the repsondent's behavioral tendencies.
BASIC EXPLANATION of the MEASURED INDICATORS
AFFED Analysis: The intention of the AFFED portion of the assessment is to support an objective analysis of the respondents "tendencies" for the purpose of determining whether the individual is inclined to be more or less Analytical, more or less Focused, more or less Flexible, more or less Engaging, and/or more or less Determined. .
CHASER Analysis: The purpose of the CHASER portion of the assessment is to measure and quantify each Motivational (Quest) aspect in order to determine which of these aspects is more likely to inspire the respondent to take committed action; be it Conventional values, the quest for Harmony, the desire for Abundance, the intention to Serve, the quest for Education, or the desire for Recognition.
