"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others" -Mahatma Gandhi
Michael Nitti is very blessed. He lives in sunny San Diego with his beautiful wife, Julie, and their two adorable Yorkshire Terriers. He loves the ocean - which is only miles away - and enjoys nothing more than a morning hike atop the cliffs at Torrey Pines overlooking the Pacific. He is privileged to be able to work out of his lovely home, surrounded by mountains and the rolling hills of the Twin Oaks golf club. He has been blessed with a loving family, loyal friends, and amazing clients - including several whom have become close friends as well. As one might imagine, Michael is also very grateful…
Of course, Michael's blessings don't stop there, as he is also an acclaimed Life Coach and Spiritual Teacher; privileged to have touched peoples’ lives - as well as their hearts - for over twenty-five years. Since "coaching" his first client in 1981 (a single mother with two teens, both of whom he later coached as well), Michael has participated in the transformation and growth of hundreds upon hundreds of his fellow Human Beings..
Although Michael has reached his mid-fifties (going on 32), his energy level is that of a much younger man. In fact, most his friends and associates will tell you that he has no “off switch” -which he attributes to "being in love all day long." His clients will also tell you that he lives and coaches from his heart -and his mentor, Tony Robbins, has declared Michael to be “one of the most loving human beings” he has ever met. Yet Michael’s heart is filled with more than love, as it overflows with Passion and Intention as well –and it's this passion and intention, which fuels the fire of his work with each and every person he coaches!
Yet, while it's emotion that drives him, the secret to Michaels’ effectiveness goes beyond his demonstrated ability to inspire others, as he truly is a transformed being. Thus, he both teaches and coaches from the perspective of being inherently connected with his students and clients. What's more, Michael brings to the table over 30 years of business experience, as well as over 25 years of human-development course work. He has traveled the world. He has succeeded and fallen short. He has loved and lost (numerous times). Michael Nitti has truly "been there and done that."
In short, Michael has lived both a very normal and an extra-ordinary life – and he is clear that the difference between the two is nothing more than “Living with Intention” versus “Living in Reaction” – which is what he teaches in a way that empowers others to both “get it” and “live it”. To this end, although he conducts his coaching and consulting in an otherwise traditional manner (analysis, goal setting, strategic planning, recommendation, and accountability), the primary difference in coaching with Michael is that he knows what Human Beings are capable of and he is a Master at enabling “that” to be revealed; often seeing what is possible even when his clients may not – at which point, it is simply a matter of empowering them to see it as well…
Other talents/interest: Artist/Designer, Real Estate investing (also owns a 2nd home in Phoenix). He appreciate high-end cars and fine wines, thus thoroughly enjoys motoring the mere 30 miles into Wine Country, where he often entertains friends and local clients. Hot News! Michael has recently published his first book, entitled "The Trophy Effect" (www.thetrophyeffect.com), which is based on an extraordinarily powerful visualization process he created and employs with clients. He is currenlty working on several additional books.

Favorite Quote: This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. To be thoroughly used up 'before dying'. The being a force of nature, rather than a feverish, selfish, little clot of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making me happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the entire community and it is my privilege to do for it all that I can. Life is no brief candle to me, but a sort of splendid torch, which I have hold of for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before passing it on to future generations… --George Bernard Shaw

Coaching-related Education/Human Development course-work: Michael began his journey down the path of self-awareness with the est Training in 1980 (which later evolved into the Landmark Forum). Over the course of the next few years, he attended dozens of advanced seminars, which culminated in a profound "Spiritual awakening" in 1982, after which he began leading courses for Landmark. He has since participated in countless similar trainings and has conducted many others himself, and considers Wayne Dyer, Gangaji, Deepak Chopra, David Deida (all of whom he has met personally and with whom he has done coursework) and other such teachers as both mentors and contemporaries - not to mention the tremendous value and knowledge he acquired by having been so closely associated with Tony for so many years; observing and learning from the "Founding Father" of coaching himself (which also afforded him the opportunity to meet and interact personally with notables such as Norman Schwartzkopf, Larry King, Donald Trump, and Jay Abraham, among many others). Michael has also been privileged to work with and learn from Cloe Madanes (PhD, and acclaimed teacher of psycho-therapy) during her association with RRI. Michael is also fully proficient with the DISC assessment, which he employs in a unique and empowering manner with clients.
Career Highlights-Business Experience: While attending Kent State University in the early 1970's, Michael was invited to apprentice with a major Defense Contractor (JLM Industries), where he spent the next 18 years manag-ing and mastering engineering, electro-mechanical assembly, manufacturing, metal processing, quality control, contract management, and business administration. Throughout the 80's, he traveled extensively as Program Manager for the company's highly advanced Mk48 torpedo program, during which time he negotiated multi-million dollar contracts and resolved technical issues with high-ranking Government officials (was cleared Secret); ultimately serving as Director of Operations during his last 20 months with the company.
When JLM folded at the end of the Cold War, Michael secured a position as engineering and program manager for Control Systems Company in Hudson, OH, which manufactured high-tech ignition systems for steam-generating power plants. With CSC, he likewise traveled the country supporting customers such as the TVA and other major utilities.
In 1993, Michael was recruited by a wealthy associate to form their own company and, as President of that firm, spent the next three years developing and bringing to market a unique line of sun-care products (ultimately landing Royal Caribbean Cruises as a major client while working part-time from Cancun, Mexico). Having achieved their primary outcome, yet realizing that they could not compete in the face of ever-evolving FDA regulations, Michael and his partner dissolved the company in 1996. For most of the next year, Michael both coached and consulted full time, including an 8-month stint as sales & marketing consultant with a nationwide satellite TV corporation.
In 1997 (after having spent 17 years fully immersed in the human development genre), Michael was recruited for the postion of Director of Operations by Robbins Research International in San Diego. For the next eight years, Michael was privileged to serve as a member of Tony Robbins' Executive Team - being alternately responsible for operations, facilities, product acquisition and sales, marketing, the Mastery Sales Team, and customer service; traveling the world extensively in support of the company’s outcomes. Ultimately, he served as V.P. of Operations for 18 months before transitioning full-time into coaching in 2005 (having coached "on the side" during most of the previous 25 years). In summary, Michael has served or been associated with many great leaders and continues to apply all that he has learned about spirituality, human nature, and business in support of his hundreds of coaching and consulting clients.
